April AU: World Setting Reference Directory

Okay guys, as mentioned in the AU Event Details post, we're trying to keep things organized and help everyone out by compiling a directory of what worlds various casts will be creating. This is that directory and we'll have this stickied in the ultimate reference post when the event starts.

For this post, have a member comment to this entry with the information. In the subject line, include the name of your cast's canon. Those who are interested in participating can ask questions about it here. These do not have to be really detailed or anything like that. A paragraph or two will be more than enough (even as long as this entry post). If there's not much change to the world, or if you'd like to provide some sort of base information, you can use links to wikis, images, or even videos to help describe the setting. Include some possible things that visitors may experience or find while in it. You will then be able to link back to your comment when creating the actual log in [community profile] somarium.

Any questions should go to the original Event post.

Mass Effect

[personal profile] flanging 2013-04-21 05:13 pm (UTC)(link)
As the Mass Effect universe is quite vast, the focus for the event will take place in the Citadel. For reference, the year is 2186 and thus may seem rather advanced to those who choose to visit this world.

The Citadel is a deep space station that houses roughly 13 million people of various races. It is divided into the Docks (for the space ships), the Wards (the slums), and the Presidium (upper class). Due a recent attack on the Citadel, many of the areas are still undergoing repairs. However with the nightmare creatures attacking, all repairs come to a halt. Many establishments lay in pieces, and many aliens (and humans alike) scamper in search for some safe haven from these new enemy pouring in from Somarium. It doesn't help that Cerberus agents (a human-survivalist paramilitary group) remain scattered among the wreckage and chaos as well, gunning down anything that isn't human. But hey if you're human and you're in their way, the might shoot at you too.

For further reference, here are a few links to the Mass Effect wikia.

Dragon Age

[personal profile] trulyfree 2013-04-21 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Dragon Age 2 namely takes place in the city-state Kirkwall of the medieval land Thedas. The event setting takes place specifically in the Lowtown district.

The year is 9:37, Dragon. The day the nightmares strike is the beginning of the most chaotic conflict Kirkwall will ever face. Starting with the Chantry, many clerics were lost, including Grand Cleric Elthina, which causes great confusion laced with panic. Accusations abounded over who could have done this, and while lacking understanding of the nightmarish creatures, fingers pointed toward the mages. Having no other choice, First Enchanter Orsino rallied the mages of the Circle to defend themselves against the Templars who intended to take them all out in punishment. Meanwhile, the nightmares continue attacking the city, starting from Hightown and slowly making their way into Lowtown.

The Kirkwall City Guard does its best to fight against the foreign force, trying to keep as many innocents as safe as possible. Templars and mages are scattered throughout the city, some still fighting each other while others fight together against their common enemy. Rubble decorates the streets of Kirkwall, and buildings are collapsed in ruin. The confusion has forced everyone asunder, and you have been placed in the midst of it all.

Contact me if you have any questions.

A year and a half from now in this world war rages still, small battles against Reiga as the Giou work to gather the Zweilts and prepare for what will be the final battle, the end to all this fighting. In this world things are not much different than today's world, at least on the surface. In truth among all the people walk Duras, creatures of darkness, demons, they range from, the monsters from this world we want to incorparate will be low level duras that appear as black, crystal like dogs and mid level who take on human form.

Both of these are powerful foes but can be defeated.

By now Yuki has discovered how Luka feels, but there still weigh more important things, such as the battle to save humanity and the Opast would remain at Yuki's side, still fighting till his very last breath for him.

Earth is basically like our Earth except the actors who play the characters don't exist for obvious reasons. And Stark Industries probably outperforms Apple and Windows and other tech companies. It's been one year since the alien invasion in New York so some areas might still be under construction.

If anyone wants details on Asgard tell me otherwise I'm being lazy and ending it here.

Avatar

[personal profile] twinkle_toes 2013-04-22 01:39 pm (UTC)(link)
There are three primary cultural groups in the Avatar universe: the Fire Nation, the Earth Kingdom, and the Water Tribes. A huge war raged between the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom, dragging all other smaller groups in, up until a year ago, when Aang put that all to a stop. The Earth Kingdom and the Fire Nation entered into a truce, and together Earth King Kuei and Firelord Zuko entered into the Harmony Restoration Movement. However, that peace is quickly starting to break down again.

The world itself is fairly straightforward, entrenched in Asian-inspired culture. There are two primary groups of people (benders who can wield the elements to their disposal, and non-benders who can't) but both live in harmony together. The main thing to note is that the "normal" animals of Avatar tend to be crosses between two or more animals - you might not see a duck or a turtle by themselves, but turtleducks are everywhere.

If you want more info, the links all point back to the Avatar Wikia, which is pretty darn cool.

Given recent events for Natsu and the guild (Except for one particular overpowered klutz who is in a village X somewhere else in the kingdom. ) take place around the capital of Fiore, I've decided to center their corner of this event there.

But while it used to once be known as the Blooming Capital of Fiore, it now lies in ruins as seven powerful dragons rampage through the streets, destroying everything in their path. If things weren't bad enough, the arrival of the nightmarish fiends of Somarium only served to make things worse which forced the Mage guilds to band together for a final desperate stand.

For information on Locales I would recommend this Wiki entry.

Ghost Hunt

[personal profile] dressedinblack 2013-04-22 02:53 pm (UTC)(link)
The world of Ghost Hunt is not unlike our typical world. The same laws of physics and reality apply. The only thing you have to keep in mind is that the people of Shibuya Psychic Research (SPR) hunt and investigate the things that go bump in the night. This also means that things we don't all understand matter a whole lot more. Ghosts, spirits, demons, even higher powers such as kami are present, yet they are also overlooked and forgotten by most people, and psychic phenomena is the focus of this series...

For this event, should you wish to visit, SPR will be working a paranormal case. They were hired to investigate, and exorcise if necessary, a haunting in a building that is trying to completely renovate for new, incoming businesses. The construction crews had been facing several unusual and dangerous incidents, leading to an accident that seriously injured someone. SPR has narrowed down its investigation to its final stages. A sight bound spirit, that was once quite gentle and benevolent, has changed upon feeling abandoned and doesn't wish to let go of its home. Kazuya and Mai have been trying to find a way to cleanse the spirit, so they have become pretty familiar with it, which brings us to this event...

When the nightmare creatures arrive, they will suppress the spirit SPR was originally investigating. This will result in an activity spike that will confuse them. As memories returns, Kazuya is going to catch on and become inventive. Warding magic and psychokinesis will be the main source of attack and defense from characters in this world, and the dream energy will boost their effectiveness. Kazuya will also be using his powers while awake. If you have further questions, please feel free to ask them here, and I will do my best to explain for you.

Persona 4

[personal profile] invites 2013-04-22 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Persona 4 itself is set in the year 2012 in the fictional town of Inaba, Japan, so a year or so in the future there would be easy to imagine. Unfortunately for the P4 world, when the nightmares and monsters attack the people there will be at a sore disadvantage. The nightmares will attack, monsters will be walking the streets, and that's not the worst part. With much of the population letting these nightmares and fears get to them, this makes for a wonderful opportunity for certain subconscious aspects to start to bleed into the world. The world will be a sort of a Bad End world, hybrid real world/Shadow world that was at one point described in the game (by Adachi). Peoples' own shadows will appear and be common in the world. They'll manifest to torment and kill them.

What is a Shadow Self? Well, that's a complicated question. What a shadow person is not is simply a false opposite image of a character. For simplicity's sake it can be defined that a shadow self is a manifestation of an individual's negative repressed inner fears, insecurities, and doubts about oneself or the world around them. A shadow self only wishes to be accepted by the person's psyche who spawned them. A shadow self cannot be completely defeated by violence; they will simply get back up and continue fighting the further a character denies them. When a character denies them, they transform into monstrous shadow creatures that then must be defeated so that they can revert back into their human form. The only way to defeat a shadow is to accept and acknowledge the shadow self as part of the self. If not, then the shadow will continue to work to torment and/or kill character.

Also if you defeat a shadow you get a persona to summon to fight for you. Edit: Those who face their shadow in the AU though may be able to have their own personas but only in dreams or dreamfields/scapes. It would involve a lot of dreamwalking practice to be able to do it.

Here's Gensokyo.

It's like a pocket dimension within the world that has other worlds in it like Hell and the Netherworld and the Underworld and Heaven and whatever else canon decides to throw into there in the future. Gensokyo will not be affected by the nightmares because the residents (the non-lazy ones) will be taking care of any and all invasions, and life will go on. Does this mean that Gensokyo is safe place for this event? NO.

THE ONLY SAFE PLACE IS THE HUMAN VILLAGE because everywhere else is teeming with youkai and oni and fairies and zombies and vampires and celestials and shinigami and whatever-have-you mythical creatures. Your character is free to explore wherever, but know that there are dangers around.

Also there is most likely some kind of tea party or drinking party going on somewhere anytime of the day. Just ask around as to where it's being held next because you're invited. (Psst it's probably held at the Hakurei Shrine.)

When it started it was just a couple of weird stories on the news. And then it was so quick. Everything - it just happened. After the apocalypse hit, the world quickly fell to the dead, and the time spent in the Georgia sun took its toll, making their decay worsen over time.

At this point in time, roughly during the year 2011, the dead far outnumber the living and the living are to be feared, having become a greater threat than their decaying counterparts. Georgia has become a literal hell and, at this point, isn't fit for anything that is alive.

For reference (and potentially graphic images below):
This is a walker and this is also a walker
This sort of scene will be the norm in Georgia

Pandora Hearts

[personal profile] windowpain 2013-04-23 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
The world of Pandora Hearts is, as far as we can tell, set in Japanese Fantasy France. There's no name given to the country, only to the capital city Reveille. The time period is quasi-Victorian. The series is a tragedy, where most of the characters are guaranteed painful tragic horrible tear-stained deaths.

Which is why AU Pandora Hearts is going to be comedy omake-themed. Yes, in this version Rufus Barma has staged a coup and seized control of the country, which now has a name: Barmaworld. Everyone must wear lace shoes! And have ahoges! There are tiny barrels and stuffed pigeons everywhere. Also, by royal decree, everyone must speak Shakespearean English. Except nobody really does, so most people are spectacularly bad at it.

Barma's motive - get his beloved Duchess Sheryl Rainsworth to finally pay attention to him. Plot twist: she still won't.

Everyone is alive, though really really disgruntled. Because, you know, Barma. The invasion of the Somarium monsters comes as a bit of a relief. People willingly go off to Somarium, not only to defend their world, but also as a means of not having to listen to Barma's meatball-self go on and on and on about how great he is.

tl;dr Fantasy Japanese Victorian France, ruled by a lovesick, insufferable guy in lace heels.

…on second thought, let's not go to Barmaworld. It is a silly place.

Soul Eater

[personal profile] soulsymmetrical 2013-04-23 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
The main setting for the Soul Eater world will be focused in Death City and the school, DWMA. In the Soul Eater universe, DWMA predominantly fights (and prepares students to fight) against people who abuse their abilities for personal gain. This includes the faction commonly referred to as witches, who are magic users that tend to take advantage of innocent people, and the Kishin Asura whose paranoia drove him insane. Asura, proving a greater threat than first imagined, caused DWMA to form an alliance with the witches to take him down, which they did successfully. Since then, the school which was originally led by Lord Death has been succeeded to his son Kid, who has become the new death god, rendering Lord Death to no longer exist. While witches were an enemy to the DWMA before, the two parties have now reached a neutral stand, though tension remains on both sides. With the attack by nightmarish creatures, DWMA called on the alliance again, and the two groups are attempting to fight back together.

For those visiting the first time, this will give a pretty good idea of what Death City looks like as well as the DMWA. They will also notice that the sun and moon have faces. Also, they are definitely inside the Earth’s atmosphere (go figure). In addition, as some may witness the local fighters, some people can transform into weapons and wielded by others. The whole weapon/meister system won’t apply to anyone visiting, but it will at least be visible (we thought about it, but it would probably be too complicated |D).

Amestris is a fairly large country with Central City serving as the seat of government. Because of how vast this country is, only two locations will be available:

Central City
A bustling metropolis at the very center of Amestris. Only a year ago, this city was under heavy attack and many places, especially Central Command were heavily destroyed in the crossfire. It was still undergoing reconstruction when the Nightmare Invasion hit. Many buildings are still crumbled and most inhabitants have been moved elsewhere for the time being.

Resembool
A relatively-isolated, rural town in southern Amestris, much unlike Central. Resembool is a very small, peaceful town. It was mostly untouched during the Promised Day battles, however was not so lucky when the Nightmare Invasion came. While the structures are still standing, the fields have turned brown, the lake is drying up, and plant life seems to be wasting away.

X

[personal profile] personates 2013-04-23 07:12 pm (UTC)(link)
X's setting is none other than Tokyo, Japan. The battle for the end of the world was won by the Dragons of Heaven, meaning that humanity survived to live on for a while longer. The year is now 2000, but Tokyo won't be looking much like it should have. All the fighting, earthquakes and flooding left the city in ruins. With the end of the world not happening, the flooding receded, but the damage caused to Tokyo wasn't magically fixed. People slowly started coming back into the city when the earthquakes finally stopped, but the vast majority of the buildings were damaged or completely destroyed and had to be repaired.

Tokyo Tower is the only large landmark still standing. Others are being rebuilt, but almost the whole city is under repair. Which obviously got delayed again when nightmare monsters started attacking. The only people strong enough to deal with the threat were the few remaining who were involved with the end of the world, so people probably started to flee from Tokyo when the attacks got worse.

If you want to know what happened to each character we have a handy dandy write up here.

Tales of Vesperia

[personal profile] spearthis 2013-04-23 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Terca Lumireis is your typical medieval, save at the inn RPG world. The only advanced form of technology that allowed for conversion of aer into magic, enhanced fighting prowess, and barriers that protected the towns (amongst other, various uses) was the blastia. Those are all gone now, sadly. They were used to purge the world of the Adephagos, which was pretty much attempting armageddon. It was that sacrifice or every life on the planet as a solution instead. The choice was obvious.

A year into the future, and things are relatively peaceful. The only major thing is people now adapting to the nonexistence of something that made life a helluva lot easier. There are some scattered monster attacks here and there, and significantly weaker attack power. But there are contingency plans in place, so it's nothing major.

There are three major species in the world: Humans, Krytians (Judith's species), and the Entelexeia (Ba'ul's species). The Entelexeia are the most endangered out of them all. There are two major factions in terms of ruling the land, the Guilds and the Empire. So the change in place shouldn't be too jarring to characters used to this kind of lifestyle.

Characters from this world, participating in the event are:
Judith
Rita
Raven

Feel free to ask any questions here! We'll all try our best to answer them ♥

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

[personal profile] solestial 2013-04-23 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)
One year later and Equestria hasn't changed too much. Maybe a rogue villain/antagonist came through, but at the time before the nightmare invasion, everything is peaceful. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna continue their reign, with Princess Twilight still learning her role as a princess with the support of her friends from Ponyville.

A few things to note about their world and their new foes. The main setting will be Ponyville and Canterlot, with the Everfree Forest nearby to also venture through. But the main denizens of this world are ponies: normal Earth ponies, Unicorns, and Pegasus. There are other animals, but no humans. Also, the place is very colorful and if people think they just stepped into some kid fairy tale world—they pretty much did. Everything is pretty much G-rated, including the nightmare invaders. They also take a pony form, if a bit creepier, black, and smokey looking.

As mentioned, everything has been toned down to a G-rating. Those who enter the world may find their powers altered in the sense that they can still kick ass, but it would fit more along the MLP theme. Also and most important there is an optional chance to turn into a pony! Yes that's right, you, too, can be a pony! Again it's optional and those who stick with their normal forms can be presumed to be stared at by the locals. A lot.

Dangan Ronpa (spoilers for the end of the first game)

[personal profile] superordinary 2013-04-23 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
To sum things up, the event known as the Worst, Most Despair-inducing incident in the History of Mankind took place and the world went to shit before the invasion even happened. What started out as students at Hope's Peak getting killed began to escalate and it soon became a world-wide catastrophe. Most of the population have no goal, no purpose and all they do is committing pointless acts of violence. Some people, however, have formed pockets of resistance and they work together hoping to restore the world and put an end to its current state. Although things have managed to calm down just a bit, people are still prone to donning Monobear masks, rioting in the streets and forming mobs if they've been agitated. Most buildings are in various states of disrepair, and famous landmarks have been Monobearified.

In some ways, the nightmare invasion actually made things better; some of the rioters ceased with the senseless violence against each other because this new threat gave them a common goal. In other ways, it made things worse. Those who didn't have a reason to fight them off got more violent. Decent food is scarce enough as it is, and the monsters only make it more difficult to find.

We're limiting the setting to New York, but visitors may find and exprience the following:
- Statue of Monoliberty. Other landmarks have been defaced as well, so go wild.
- People who carry baseball bats and wear Monobear masks.
- Despair. Think people dying in the streets or setting each other on fire and other sad things.
- You may have to go dumpster diving if you want something to eat.

TWEWY (The World Ends With You)

[personal profile] orchestrating 2013-04-24 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
Inherent spoilers:
This here is Shibuya. It's a ward of Tokyo, Japan and is a bustling, energetic, youthful district filled with bright lights, lots of shopping, and a lot of people. There's a lot to see and do whether it's the daytime shopping or the nighttime clubbing scene. If it's something you're after that's fun, you're bound to find it in Shibuya.

In TWEWY, Shibuya is separated into two different dimensions, if you will. There is the RG (Real-Ground) which is where everything happens. This is where you live, where you go get ramen with friends, where you shop, and where you sleep. Then, there's the UG (Under-Ground). This is where you go when you die. No kidding. It exists at the same time as the RG, but if you are part of the UG, you are invisible. Think the whole "I'm a ghost, no one can see me" sort of thing. Both UG and RG exist at the same time and influence each other. It is impossible to pass between these two planes apart from death. If you die, you enter the UG. If you're alive, you're happily in the RG, likely without knowledge of the UG.

So what happens when you die and you 'cross-over'? Well, you take part in a Reaper's Game. You fight for your "life". You fight for a second chance at life. Firstly, you have to find a partner. Once you find a partner, you get missions sent to your phone as Mission Mail. You fight with that same partner all week to reach the end of the week and hopefully ascend to Heaven or return to your RG-life (or reincarnation, but the details are a bit fuzzy).

What do you fight? Well, mostly these buggers. They're creatures that look like animals but are made of static-noise like particles, of colors, and likely graffiti looking limbs. These creatures are out to get you, and can definitely destroy you if you don't have a partner. So partner up!

So what are we doing with the wonderful Shibuya? We're opening up the RG and the UG:
- Since the invasion and war, the line between life and death, RG and UG, is slipping and the two planes are merging. Noise are now visible in the RG! That also means the Nightmare Creatures are, too.
- These Nightmare creatures are morphing with the Noise!
- What does that mean? They're taking on Noise-characteristics but for the most part behave and look like the Nightmare Creatures invading all the worlds.
- Ok, what else?
- You don't have to partner up if you go to TWEWY-Shibuya. The Noise are acting strangely so they'll be out to get everyone, essentially.
- Things will seem very off and almost as if white-noise is all around.
- The Scramble Crossing is a very common place to appear, so there's that!
- If you come hopping over, Joshua (this account!) is likely to take notice of you for ~reasons~ that will lead to character interactions.

and yes I encourage 4th wall breaking and AU characters please contact us and join our cast temporarily ok???

Inu x Boku SS/Youko x Boku SS

[personal profile] onlyserves 2013-04-25 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
The world within the Inu x Boku SS (or Youko x Boku SS) universe takes place in present day Japan. The city's name is currently unknown. However, the small town is described as a growing city. The apartment complex known as the Ayakashikan (or Maison de Ayakashi) is in the center of this world. Most of those that arrive will either arrive in front of the apartment complex or within the various places of the complex -- such as the lounge, elevator, bar, bath house, or the various different apartment rooms. Of course, if the mansion is not to your satisfaction, then anyone can appear at the local high school known as Seijou Academy, in the middle of the national forest park known as Tokiwa Forest Park, or Seijou park that is a few blocks away from the apartment complex.

Nothing much about the world has changed, it is like any other world with a day and night. There are cars and the modern technology that the year 2012 has to offer. The only differences many people will notice, especially those who are from this particular world, that the demon attacks have grown worse. Darkness is taking place longer than expected -- taking an extra four hours from the twelve hours of daylight -- so night is sixteen hours long while daylight hours only remain for eight hours, but even then there is barely any sun nowadays. During half of those daylight hours, it will be raining non-stop while during the other half it will be extremely cloudy with very little sunlight.

The world has been slowly decaying until the Nightmares found their way into this world. Now it is decaying and growing worse by the day as demons, who were once usually pacifists, have began to change into even more violent ones -- attacking both humans and other Atavists alike. Their senses might have heighten as they now chase after anyone and anything they can smell. Normal humans, even those with super powers, will find they are the new targets! Weak level demons will attack humans without fear while stronger level demons will only attack other Atavist and demons. Luckily, rain is the only way to hide from other demons, but that means whoever is in the world need to get wet or else they will be targets again.

The only official safe haven -- other than being out in the rain -- are the many Ayakashikan or Maison de Ayakashi apartment complexes surrounding all of Japan. They have their own security system designed to keep demons away. The Atavist that used to live in the apartment complex, especially those working as the SS, have been hard at work in protecting the apartments against stronger level demons. Many of the Atavists, who are not SS, are the second to defend the apartment complex whenever the SS are out to look for much needed supplies such as food, water, medicine, and gas. Supplies are getting harder to come by at this point of the war.

Even so, many apartment buildings have been defeated and destroyed, so there is very little humans who are still alive in this world. The only apartment complex many will find is the one in the center of this world. There are not many humans or Atavists taking shelter for many reasons, but there is a small community living within.

The year is 2023, and medicine has advanced significantly so that cures have been found for most major diseases (or at least they're generally more under control than they were a decade ago). However, now and then a supervirus will rise up and require lots of research and some really good surgeons to tackle - like now.

Like any world this one has been ravaged by the nightmare creatures, but just as significantly a new sickness (dubbed "Oneiroi") is spreading around the world. Victims are prone to fever, paranoia, nightmares, hallucinations, all that fun stuff. It isn't going very well; look here to see how crazy viruses can get in Trauma Center-verse without supernatural influence.

Angeles Bay, California is home to the US branch of Caduceus, a renowned worldwide health organization that pioneers research on fighting disease. Things here are kind of tense as Caduceus struggles against the Oneiroi virus. Other than that, it's a pretty typical city. There's hospitals (Hope Hospital, for one), airports, conference halls, all that sort of thing.

Portland, Maine is...Portland, Maine. There's a hospital here, Resurgam First Care, that's probably slightly famous due to their role in stopping another virus a few years back. There's again mostly normal city stuff here, though things are a little worse here than in Angeles Bay due to not having major international hospitals in the neighborhood.

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle - Nihon Country

[personal profile] souhi_no_arashi 2013-04-25 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
For Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, since the setting hops across many worlds, we are choosing just one that the travellers in the AU left from to return to Hypnosia, the world Kurogane hails from, specifically in the Country of Nihon.

This is Shirasaki Castle, the jewel and center of the capital of Nihon, a country that is modeled after a fuedal-era Japan. Housed within it is Amaterasu, a warrior empress, and her younger sister, the high priestess Tsukuyomi. Tsukuyomi also goes by the name Tomoyo however and is the one person Kurogane will serve. In the castle's employ is a host of attendants and ninja (and likely samurai) who protect the capital and the priestess and assassinate enemies as needed. The city surrounding it is full of merchants and tradesman making it a bustling hub of activity and business as the city was protected by Tsukuyomi's powerful kekkai (spiritual barrier) that kept the oni (demons) that roam the country side at bay.

Or that was the case in the past...

With the advent of nightmare attacks spilling into their country, the priestess' barriers have been weakened with the stress of trying to defend against the invaders as well and demons have also began to encroach within. This has led many civilians in the city to flee or go into hiding in their homes and shops, leaving emptier streets while the city's strongest warriors attempt to protect their home and the surrounding countrysides in patrols.

They likely wouldn't object too strongly to help, even if it came from outsiders...

So Shirasaki Castle and the surrounding capital city are free game for this. The priestess (unless one pops in 4th wall-wise) is likely holed up in protective hiding while the Empress is out kicking demon butt elsewhere. Both demons and nightmares are available for slaying here, but otherwise, the city is a little quieter than usual. There are still going to the stubborn merchants and businesses that'll stay open and talk to any visitors of course, especially if they seem to be there to help (wary as some may be of foreigners).

Warning: This will contain spoilers for this series, if you haven't read the books, because Sansa's canon point is from the fourth book: A Feast for Crows. Since the fifth book covers a more or less simultaneous period, most of this is made up from headcanon. You'll need to highlight the text between here and the last paragraph.

A year after Sansa left King's Landing with Lord Petyr Baelish and began hiding in The Vale, war is still ravaging Westeros. Here are some important events in chronological order:

1. Prince Aegon Targaryen/Young Griff and the Golden Company are fighting and have weakened the Lannister loyalists, especially because of Kevan's death. Arianne Martell has found him.

2. With her dragons, Daenerys Targaryen was able to defeat the Slavers' armies. She has won back the dubious loyalty of the mercenary company "The Second Sons", as well as earned that of other companies, including "The Windblown". Vicatarion Greyjoy managed to reach her as well, and aided her in the war against Yunkai, with the hope of making her his wife, but he died in battle. Some of the Iron-born have joined her, but others wish to bring her to Euron, and have been unsuccessful. Among her allies, there are Ser Barristan, Daario Naharis, Tyrion Lannister and Jorah Mormont. With the ships remaing from Victarion's fleet, and others she took from the Slavers, she has made her way to Westeros. Learning about of Aegon from Tyrion, she seeks to join him to see whether she should ally to him or destroy him.

3. Winter is rough in the North, putting a halt to the war between Stannis and the Boltons. Both sides have lost many men. Stannis has returned to the Wall, while the Bolton and his banner remain in Winterfell. Both parties are short on supplies. The King awaits Melisandre's cue on when Theon and Asha Greyjoy's royal blood should be fed to the Red God.

4. Jon Snow survived the wounds he recieved from Bowen Marsh and some other of his Nightwatch Brothers. He recovered, but is no longer the Lord Commander. Tormund Giantsbane has taken him to Oakenshield to ensure his survival.

5. The Lannisters forces and their rule over the Seven Kingdoms are virtually non-existent and the Kingdom is mostly run by the Tyrells, who are being manipulated by Varys. The Tyrells are hoping to win Targaryen's favor. Mace hopes to wed Maergery to Aegon or Willas to Daenerys.

6. Sansa has remained in hiding at the Eyrie, but has learned much of what is happening thanks to Petyr Baelish.

While all this is happening, the nightmares have begun to attack Westeros. Many have arrived to King's Landing, seeking shelter. Others have attempted to flee to the Free Cities in the East. In the North, the wall can't protect the Night Watch and Stannis' men from the strange creatures. A few people have tried to find peace at the Vale, but have been turned away. If Westeros was in chaos, the outside invasion has made everything worse. Each side of the war blames the other on this new threat, and no one truly knows how to fight this.

Wolfram and Saralegui come from the anime, and Sara has the furthest canon point from there - post-anime. So, they'll both come from 1.5+ years after Episode 39 of Season 3 (Episode 117 overall.)

At the end of that episode, Yuuri returned to Earth, and claimed to his friend Ken Murata that he wasn't going to fall for "that trick" again - referencing something he believed would happen at the end of Season 2 regarding if he could return to Shin Makoku or not. Wolfram was under the impression Yuuri wouldn't be able to return to Earth (or come back), but he'll be clued in eventually (probably finding out later than everyone else, including Greta). Once Yuuri returns, life in Shin Makoku for him and the others returns to as "normal" as possible. At times he will occasionally travel between Earth and Shin Makoku again. The night before the Nightmare creatures invade is another time he returns to Shin Makoku. Also, Wolfram and Yuuri still haven't resolved their engagement issue.

As per usual, Wolfram and his world's Yuuri will be staying mainly at the Blood Pledge Castle with the others. The Nightmare monsters will then show up and Wolfram and the other soldiers will try to fight them as they invade within the Blood Pledge Castle and the nearby city (where humans live), but to no avail. During the chaos, you will likely see many Mazoku soldiers who serve Yuuri about (often on horseback) within both the castle and the city, as most humans remain indoors or in hiding; while Mazoku use various types of elemental magic (fire, earth, air, and water based magic) combined with swordfighting skills to attempt to hold off what enemies they can.

Sara has taken the Small Shimaron throne from Lanzhil by then and successfully reunited large and small Shimaron.

Yuuri comes from the novels timeline, so he'll be 1.5+ years from his canon point.
