Phase: ¼ waxing. Light has returned the night sky once again. Perhaps you all can breathe easily. Nothing too bad happened during that New Moon phase... right?

Weather: The weather still refuses to relinquish its wet days. However, with the mixture of sunlight, things are becoming humid and a bit sticky. Bad hair days, ahoy.

Notes: April Fools is here! And its all week too! Isn't that great?! Maybe you won't find it so funny when the joke is played on you, hm? Check out the details below. But first...

• Activity Check. Activity Check almost over. You can check if your name is still on the Danger list over here. If you still have any issues regarding that, be sure to contact one of the moderators.
  
  
• Apps are opening. Applications are opening at midnight on April 1! If you'd like to try out a new muse, don't forget that we have a Test-drive Meme specifically for this!
  
  
• Reminder about New Plot Mod. J has been appointed as new plot mod for Somarium so you can blame her for anything that happens from here on out. However, please be aware that while J can be contacted for questions about current plots. Game issues should still go to Laena, Mart, or ally.
  
  
• April Fools Hijinks: Finally, a true celebration of April Fools Day! Your characters may or may not find themselves the butt of jokes or at the mercy of Somarium's antics. So what exactly does the dream world have cooked up for you?
  
  
  • Phantom Pranks: Throughout the week, your character may be subjected to so-called “phantom pranks” that seem to roll throughout Somarium. Perhaps you wake up and there are sharpie drawings all over your face. Maybe you reach out and shake someone's hand—and you both get buzzed... but there is no buzzer. Perhaps the chair cushions in your house unleash loud fart noises whenever you take a seat, or you open the freezer to find all your bras in it. Whatever the prank, to your clocks wound forward or only finding rubber chickens in place of real chicken when you go to the store, it will at the very least, be harmless in nature.
    
    
  • Release the Cards!: You know those awesome cards that you might find every once in awhile? Well, now they're everywhere, and your character might be hard-pressed to avoid them. Under chairs, inside books, on shelves at the store... be careful! You might just activate one of them! All card effects last for three (3) days. All other cards are put on temporary hold for this week only.
    
    Here is a list of the cards available for activation:
    
    • Bodyswitch. “Switches the bodies of two characters. This is only a physical body switch, not a personality switch.” Extra requirement: Another character within the vicinity. The two characters will be compelled to come together and touch the card.
      
      
    • Plushie. “User is turned into a plushie and while the user can talk, movement is limited.” The plushie can be generic, specific to the character’s canon world, or something from Somarium.
      
      
    • Angry Birds. “You are suddenly hounded by a pack of angry birds who think you stole their eggs.” They will seriously chase you around or at least hover nearby. Might want to carry an umbrella.
      
      
    • Fairy Tale Princess. “Woodland animals suddenly have the urge to follow you around wherever you go. No matter how hard you try, you can't shake them or chase them away. They always keep coming back. ...and they try to be helpful with cleaning and cooking but it doesn't always work. Be ware of old women and charming princes.” As a bonus for this week, characters even have a cute little tiara that’s stuck on their head!
      
      
    • Random Status Effect. “Magic will not fix the status effect, but instead it will cause the status effect sufferer severe pain. Effects include:
      
      • Confusion
        
      • Silence (literally cannot speak)
        
      • Slow (Movements are in slow-mo.)
        
      • Freeze (always cold)
        
      • Heat (always hot)
        
      • Petrified (turned to stone but can talk)
        
      • Shrink (size of a pen)
        
      • Poison (User will have green or purple bubbles appear above their heads and feel very weakened and sick.)
      
      We’ve taken out a couple of the original status effects for this week, but that’s most from the original set. In addition, for this week only the status effect can change. So for example, for one hour the character could be petrified, but then in the next find themselves silenced. The effects can also be combined.
  
  
  
• Remember those eggs?: Last week, your character received an egg if you do recall. For those whom ended up crushing or breaking it in some way, well. You know the results of that. So what about those people whom took good care of their eggs during the course of the week?
  
  On Sunday, your character may or may not see shadows creeping up, surrounding the egg in the dead of night. Whether or not you decide to put up a fight to defend your baby egg is up to you, but no matter how valiant the effort, the egg will be stolen, and vanish into the night. You can opt for your character to witness this event or not, but no matter what, the egg will be gone the next day.
  
  
• So what happened to them?: For all you caring mommies and daddies out there, you will be sad to hear what happens next. Perhaps it even has to do with something coming in May.

Question regarding body swap card?

If someone has powers (ie: Schuldig's telepathy or Starfire's powers) would that swap as well or would that stay with the original body and new person would be trying to deal with?

We'll leave that up to your discretion!

The powers could:

- Swap with the person
- Stay with the original body
- Be completely deactivated/sealed

With the third one that's in case either player feels uncomfortable about another character using the powers for whatever reason

So if a character was effected by Shrink, if the effect changed they would return to normal size and then, say, be effected by Heat?

They could do that or be both shrunk AND affected by heat.

The choice is yours!
