❖ MOON CYCLE 115 ❂ 5/23 - 5/31Phase: New moon.
Weather: It's pretty good weather for Somarium. Noctaerium? Not so much. Although not on the table, let's just say that those in Noctaerium will feel rather
cold at night and brisk temperatures during the day.

Notes: It's time for the New Moon and we all know what that means

Rooming assignments are at the very end. It even comes in a basic floor plan of the warehouse!
- Activity Check. Just a reminder that the activity check will be going up on the 25th. Watch out for that.
- Virus plot is over. A reminder that the virus plot by Schmidt was completed over the weekend! Everyone who was infected should have received the cure and recovering. Which is probably a good thing considering that many of them are about to be thrown into a warehouse.
- Warehouse revisited. We listed out most of the details about this week's event in our original post regarding the Warehouse event. But here's a very quick recap as well as some additional notes.
- Split in two. Remember, the game base is basically being split in two. Those who are opting out of the event will remain in Somarium relatively safe. Those who are participating in the event will be taken to a completely different place in Noctaerium. Communication will not be available between the two locations. Characters who are being sent to the warehouse will wake up there at 10AM Thursday, May 24. We'll have a signal post up to indicate the start of the event. Those left behind in Somarium will notice them gone.
- Warehouse. The warehouse is located in an isolated are in Noctaerium. The only way out of there to return to Somarium is through the portals. The warehouse is located through a very bleak and run down small town which can be explored. Surrounding the town is a vast black forest. Literally—the ground, the trees, the noctaere—all black.
- Dreamberries broken in Noctaerium. For those in Noctaerium, the Dreamberries will be broken. That means no direct communication except through the PA system and no dreams. So if your character gets stuck outside... Also, the translator is borked. Characters won't be able to understand each other unless they are within ten feet of one another. Any farther and all they will hear is the original language of the character. If they are familiar with the language regardless, then they can still understand. Otherwise, let's hope they were good at charades. This also includes writing.
- PA System. As mentioned in the original post, there is a main PA System that characters can have access to on the first floor. Characters cannot make any filtered "calls" except to specific rooms or floors. Otherwise it's completely public. There are also small intercoms located in the rooms and floor entrances so that they can use to talk with one another and respond back to the main room. NOTE: These posts should be posted on
dreamnet like any other network post, but should be clearly labeled so that players aren't confused. Also, these will be voice only.
- Notes. It is possible for characters to write and send notes to each other. They would have to be hand delivered, however. Things can also be posted on a small billboard on the first floor. These kind of posts should be on
dreamnet and clearly labeled.
- Rooms. Characters have been randomly assigned roommates and placed on random floors. The room layout looks basically like this. No one said this was a 5-star warehouse. They are given free meals once a day though—8:00AM and through the little doggy door at the bottom of the door. How thoughtful. It's the only main source of nutrition, but other snacks could be found around if one searches for it.
Characters don't have to always stay in their rooms or with their assigned roommates, but if characters do spend the night in their unassigned rooms, they will have an unpleasant night. After 10PM, a strange shadow will appear on the mirror on the wall. Then a horrendously loud wailing will come from the mirror. These wails will last for ten straight minutes and will continue every hour until either the character leaves to return to their room (good luck with that) or until 10AM the next morning. These wails are also so loud that the whole floor will be able to hear them.
- Vacant Rooms. As you will see on the floor plan, there are rooms marked as "Vacant." However, they're not really vacant. They are locked and no amount of banging or prying will open them. Which will probably suck since characters will probably hear screams or moans from inside. Maybe even the sound of something cutting...
- Offices. The offices are also locked, but they can be broken into. There will be a bunch of papers and charts that look a lot like medical records. They are currently unreadable, but hey. Maybe they'll make for a nice souvenir to bring back home later.
- Curfew. Don't forget the 10PM curfew! After that time, all the doors will be locked from the outside and only those on the inside will be able to open their doors. But why would you want to go outside? Especially with all those noctaere roaming the halls and ready to tear into unsuspecting victims.
- Noctaere. Compared to the previous noctaere that older characters may have encountered, the ones found in the warehouse and outside are vicious. Not to mention hideous looking. They will attack on sight and like all noctaere, are made of thick skin. But a well aimed shot in the head and a few slashes of a blade should take them down. Magic will also be effective, especially any light-based spells. Just don't forget that energy will be drained the more a character uses their abilities.
- No deaths. Though even if a character gets mauled, they won't die. They might wish they could die, but they won't. Instead they'll just continue to barely live until someone comes to their aid or until morning hits. All injuries will be completely healed at 10AM, though the pain will remain.
- Restricted floor. Everyone who has signed up to help on the restricted floor will be gathered for a pre-coordinated break in on Sunday, May 27. Characters are still welcome to try and bust it down on their own before that, but it won't work.
- Find the key and gates. We mentioned about finding a key and some gates. Characters will be able to discover through an open NPC call broadcast that will be put up on Saturday, May 26. This call will detail ICly what's happening and will also be the only opportunity characters from both sides will be able to communicate with one another. It will function like an open conference call.
Okay, now for the room assignments. Head's up! It's a big table.
