- Activity Check. The August Activity Check is over and the final results can be seen here. We're also going to make a mod post in the next day or so regarding what we've noticed about recent Activity Checks and possibly a few changes to address some of these issues. So keep an eye out for that!
- Applications Open! Applications are now open and will run through the 10th. Don't forget we still have the Test Drive Meme!
- Oh you thought you were going back? One of the reasons why those of Ob Holm threw the festival was because everyone thought that the refugees would be able to return to Somarium within the week. Without much danger left, what's to stop them?
Seems like it's going to take much longer than what they originally thought. As Dick will say in his post on the network later today or tomorrow, it may take a few weeks. Actually it won't be that long. Spoilers: everyone should be back in Somarium before the month is over. But according to Dick, the repairs are taking longer. Now why is that? - Lack of dreams. Without the dreams from everyone to channel to Somarium, things are not repairing as well as they should. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but the recent lack of dreams thanks to those trinkets have changed things. Maybe those little "charms" aren't so good after all...?
- State of unrest. Due to the sudden news of the refugees possibly staying longer than wanted, there will a gradual increase of unrest and lack of hospitality from the Ob Holm citizens. The dream gates to other cities are still locked because of the security risks, and that means less trading and sales are occurring. Not exactly what those of a trader city want to have happen for an undue period of time. They'll still help, but begrudgingly. Toward the end of the week, even some merchants may jack up the price toward anyone from Somarium. In fact, they may start blaming them for any kind of misfortune that may happen, like the fire incident.
After all, things would be normal if it weren't for them... - Your dreams will now have impact! Careful what you dream of... starting now, and lasting most of September, your dreams may help decide how Somarium is rebuilt. That's right, Somarium may be rebuilt to mirror bits and pieces of your home world or even just your imagination.
This is completely OOC knowledge! There will come a time in the next few weeks where characters (and players) will be given information. This will last for most of September, so there's plenty of time! But keep this in mind when you're dreaming this month. We'll be compiling a directory list of all the dreams and ideas that were done during this time.
Addendum: Just for clarification, there will be limits as to what exactly will be actually implemented, and that is what the compilation will be used for. We may not implement all of a certain building or aspect, but we will try to implement a lot of it. For now, this should be restricted to just certain landmarks, rooms, and small buildings like a house that characters are most familiar with. One good way to figure out if something is allowed is to keep it to what a character will be able to remember most about it. Thus a character would definitely be able to envision and recall their own apartment rather than the entire apartment complex building.
These dreams and such will be more potent over time, especially once they learn specifically about how this will work ICly. So for now, you can try and save those types of dreams later and start with more general ones this week. Also, spacing these out is highly encouraged so as not to spam the communities!

As for multiple people dreaming, then what could happen is that if the people dreamed certain different parts, then the whole building could be "constructed" that way. But just one person might not be able to do it by themselves. It would also depend on how defined the memory of it would be.

Ob Holm has a shady area, right? A black market of sorts, so to speak. Could a character perhaps... buy drugs there? Like... pot? If that was something a character would do. I know they'd probably be pretty hesitant since lol hate outsiders but JUST WONDERING. All hypothetical of course.
