Yukito did not make AC because he still lacked 3 comments to pass.

Unfortunately not. We cannot count threads and comments from your own character's post as stated in the Activity Check guidelines.

Unfortunately the first two provided thread links was counted as a joint post between Takuma and D. We had outlined this rule change a few checks ago when we addressed concerns about the requirements.

I thought it only counted if it was a joint post between two people, such as people making a post together and they're both talking about it.

I wasn't even told about the post until it was up, so I didn't have anything to do with it at all. I just responded to it.

That is true, but regardless these threads are in the same post and thus cannot count as meeting the criteria for threads. Were we to allow a person to submit multiple thread links from only one post, that would cheapen the AC, as all any player would have to do is wait for one event post and tag three people there. It would also defeat the purpose of what our AC is trying to accomplish, which is encouraging players to tag out more.

Okay, but now you're saying its because I'm using multiple links from the same post... but that doesnt make sense either. Say in the festival post I tagged with the same character, but to two different people. You're now saying that, those two threads wouldn't count separately? And it doesn't say I can't do it in the rules, so I don't see why it shouldn't count.

Also, the post Takuma made was open, so anyone could have hopped into it, just like the the festival post.

Yes, and we also did not allow at least one other player who also did the same thing. The real gray area came when a character is tagged by multiple people, but we've never allowed when two separate threads were made in the same post. If we had, then it would have been an error on our part. It's always been to a separate entry, regardless of the type it is.

All right. Well, if that's the case, then I can't argue with it. But I do suggest its made clearer in the rules since it doesn't really state it. I mean, its not really a problem to apply him back to the game in January, but it is frustrating when I can't look to the rules and just confirm it myself.

I feel the same way about using multiple threads for the same log, which is really the only reason D had the third thread at the festival. I felt that it was lazy and a cop out for all three of them, but I wouldn't of ever suspected that to be the case for only two, especially when it is an open log and I do see people commenting to open events and such with their characters all the time.

We're actually discussing how this can be clarified, but it's really simple as is. The requirement for threads is stated as the following:

Threads. All thread-only links must have at least three (3) comments made by you and in response to another character's post! (emphasis added)

This is where I'd implore all players to not overcomplicate things. Taken strictly as is, this is to be read that you must reply to another character's post. This is not to mean to include all threads within the post as well. Just the post itself. Also, we've always considered "post" as "entry." We can change that term at least since that got missed in the initial AC reformat, but that is how it's always been.

So long as you stick with the basics, you will be fine. Were we to address every single possible thing you cannot do, the AC will look longer and even more complicated than it does now.
